Proteins will be produced mainly in E. coli. Proteins can also be labeled for structural studies:

  native proteins
  selenomethionyl proteins (crystallography)
  15N labelled proteins (NMR)
  15N/13C labelled proteins (NMR)

Expression strains will be grown either in shake flasks (0.5l or 1l) or in fermenters (1l, 2l, 7l), using batch or fed-batch cultivation, depending on the expression level of the protein. Cells will be harvested by centrifugation and either further processed or delivered to the customer.

Prices: prices given here are indicative prices for batch cultivations of E. coli (final OD 600, about 3-5 in labeling conditions, and about 15-20 in native conditions)

  native proteins: 150€/l to 120€/l (for volumes higher than 5l)
  selenomethionyl proteins: 210€/l
  15N labelled proteins: 300€/l
  15N/13C labelled proteins: 2100€/l
